Christian Family-Friendly TV

GPS-TV is a private nonprofit organization initially designed to serve more than 100,000 cable households in central Illinois. We plan to provide a continuum of services ranging from program production and consultation to cablecasting 24/7 for a wide variety of family values oriented households. Our company also works closly with church and Christian organizations to help shape the major systems that impact young people and families in our community and state. You will also find us involved in such diverse areas as mental health, juvenile justice, positive youth development, education, and work readiness.

Our mission is to assist families and residents in the central Illinois area to become more positive and productive citizens by providing programs stressing healthy lifestyles based on Judeo/Christian ethical and moral standards where viewers will feel challenged, respected, and accountable as they strive to meet the demands of citizenship. Our staff and volunteers play a vital role in coordinating activities in churches and organizations interested in providing family-friendly programs and information. Through our not-for-profit status, we are able to use all funding to benefit the community, pouring resources back into areas where they will do the most good and deliver the greatest impact. Revenue will come from interested and involved individuals, organizations with programs suitable for airing on the system, program providers, foundations and similar sources.

GPS-TV is developing a full 24-hour schedule of varied programming intended for each day of the week. Programming will be modified and viewing schedules adjusted through ongoing research and viewer feedback. All programming is designed to enhance family values and encourage positive growth in the community.

The Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers of GPS-TV will be organized to work toward providing a quality experience in the most effective and efficient manner possible with optimism for the future of this program.
